Two rare Great War period R.N.A.S. Armoured Car Division collar badges, the first brass, in very good condition, impressed J. R. Gaunt. London, to reverse, the second a heavily toned base-metal version, lacking makers mark and with a singular lug, otherwise in better than average condition.

The R.N.A.S. Armoured Car Division served in France and Flanders in 1914, the Gallipoli theatre of operations in 1915, and the Middle East from 1916. They modified a number of vehicles, including a Rolls Royce which was armed with a .303-inch Maxim machine gun.
