George Norrington was born on 7 December 1886 and lived with his wife near Bude, Cornwall. After instruction at Roehampton, he served as a Kite Balloon Officer from 1 April 1917, but was injured in an 'aero accident' on 24 April 1917. Thereafter, he spent his time on a number of courses and administrative duties, being discharged from the service in October 1919. He died on 9 June 1969.
