Pair: Lieutenant T. G. Beale, Dragoon Guards, attached Royal Flying Corps

British War and Victory Medal (Lieut. T. G. Beale. R.F.C.), very fine and better (2)

Thomas Geoffrey Beale was born on 13 November 1896 and lived at 'Rosario', Claygate, Surrey. Educated at Whitgift School, Croydon, from 1906 to 1913, he initially served as 2nd Lieutenant with No. 7 Kite Balloon Squadron, before transferring to the 2nd Dragoon Guards, attached for temporary duty with the Royal Flying Corps. It appears that Beale spent the remainder of his war serving at home in the Salisbury area on administrative duties, his papers noting unfit for long periods of ground service and permanently unfit as pilot or observer. He appears to have been struck off strength around July 1919.
