This coin is die linked to the Doubleday specimen, the obverse of which was noted in study by Lawrence and Whitton to be latterly paired with a Calais reverse die, cf. Glendining, 7-8 June 1972, lots 298-299 and Whitton, BNJ XXIV, pp. 110-112.
