1856 (25 Nov.) entire letter to Orleans, endorsed Voie Anglaise", with a fine strike of the "les saintes/(guadeloupe)" datestamp, rated "12" and with Col. Fr. Angl./Amb. Calais 1 alongside, transit and arrival markings on the reverse; a few minor stain spots, fine. Les Saintes is one of the smallest inhabited Islandss directly to the South of Basse Terre. This cover is the discovery example of the marking and this is the only recorded cover. Jamet 1, Rarity 7
