Ocean Penny Post: Myers & Co. design, first state; 1851 (13 Dec.) stampless cash paid cover to France bearing London despatch, Calais transit (14.12) and "1/-" rate mark in ink and, on the reverse, further London c.d.s. and Rochefort arrival (15.12) c.d.s.; there is additional company handstamp on the address side and some contemporary postage notes on the reverse. Some light ageing but a good cover which is quite scarce to an overseas destination. Photo
