Bank of England, David Henry Fitzroy Somerset (1980-1988), £50, ND (1981), A01 000010, brown and multicolour with Elizabeth II at right and Phoenix at centre, reverse Sir Christopher Wren at right with view of St. Paul's Cathedral and City of London in background,
(EPM B352), uncirculated, the note contained within a brown Morocco leather presentation folder embossed in gold to the front with vignette of 'seated Britannia', the inside front cover similarly embossed with text: 'BANK OF ENGLAND', 'MARCH 1981' and the whole contained within a protective paper envelope. The plastic 'window' has yellowed slightly with age, however the note is not discoloured. A very rare and particularly charming piece.
