1893 (10 Apr.) large enveloped registered from the Shanghai Local Post Office bearing good strikes of circular "exempt/from/postage" and boxed Registered handstamp with manuscript "128" plus "with a parcel" and, on the reverse, a superb strike of the Shanghai Local Post c.d.s. code "H" in blue and two wax seals of the Shanghai Local Post Office; addressed to Messrs Bandinel & Co. There is a horizontal crease and vertical fold. A scarce and appealing cover. This is the earliest cover mailed from Shanghai to Newchwang and a unique combination. Photo


1893年4月10日寄自上海工部書信館的大型掛號進口封， 銷紅色圓型清晰"exempt/from/postage" (免除郵資)戳， 及紅色方框掛號印， 並手塡"128"號， 下寫"付帶一郵包"， 封背蓋藍色帶"H"字上海工部書信館日戳， 並有两枚上海工部書信館SLP-C1火漆， 代表郵政公務封; 收件者為牛莊郵政代理人Bandinal & Co.， 封雖有些摺痕， 但本封是存世最早由上海工部書信館以郵政公務封寄至牛莊， 也是唯一僅見在掛號封上銷蓋上海工部書信館圓形英文"免除郵資"戳寄至牛莊的郵件， 此珍罕郵品， 難得一見.
