1896 (Aug.) envelope addressed to S.M.S. 'Kaiser' stationed in Hakodate bearing pair of 1c. red, one cancelled by Yokohama c.d.s. (20.8). This letter was posted from the German hospital ship in Yokohama; however, the Chinese stamps were not accepted and postage due handstamps applied, the reverse Hakodate arrival c.d.s. (26.8); there are a couple of small faults which do not detract from this highly unusual and interesting cover. Photo


1896年8月煙台寄日本函館德國輪船凱撒號 S.M.S. "Kaiser" 封， 貼煙台紅色一分票两枚， 銷8月20日橫濱日戳， 但中國煙台票顯然不能用於橫濱， 雖然蓋銷， 但仍被處以欠資， 蓋"橫濱未納"印章， 封背蓋另一"橫濱未納"印章及8月26日函館到達戳; 充滿趣味性及不平凡之煙台國際封.
