1895 (23 May) envelope to Washington D.C. "Via Europe" bearing 1c. red tied by Local Post c.d.s. and bearing German Eagle 20pf. tied by a superb Shanghai c.d.s., redirected on arrival to U.S.S. Machias, Yokohama with a fine strike of Washington duplex (15.7) alongside the adhesive; the reverse with a further despatch c.d.s., Shanghai Local Post (31.5) in blue, further Washington c.d.s., San Francisco and Yokohama c.d.s. 1895年5月23日煙台經歐洲寄美國華盛頓封， 貼煙台紅色一分票， 銷黑色煙台工部雙圈日戳， 上端加貼德國鷹圖票20pf.， 銷5月31日上海日戳， 信於7月15日到達華盛頓蓋到達戳後， 又因故經美國海軍郵輪馬柴厄斯 (Machias)轉遞日本橫濱， 封背蓋另一黑色煙台工部雙圈分發日戳， 5月13日上海工部日戳， 7月15日華盛頓戳， 三藩市中轉戳及8月7日橫濱到達戳; 繞了地球一圈， 甚為難得商埠混貼封; 品相中上.
