1893 (May) manila "postage paid 1 cent" envelope (E1g) to Shanghai "Pr S.S. Keung Pai" showing the variety of the embossing struck on the upper right side of the envelope. Cancelled by a fine strike of the bilingual "amoy local post/agency" struck in blue and, on the reverse, Shanghai Local Post arrival c.d.s. (6.5) and postman's delivery characters. Some light soiling.

Thought to be the earliest example of this manila envelope used in Amoy. Photo


1893年5月廈門寄上海"郵資已付壹分(postage paid 1 cent)"牛皮紙郵資封(Elg)， 工部信館的壓印錯壓於右上端變體， 銷清晰藍色雙圈上海書信館廈門代辦所中英文無日期戳， 封背蓋5月6日藍色上海工部日戳及郵務員記號; 相信是此類壹分牛皮紙郵資封在廈門的最早使用例.
