1859 (18 Aug.) entire letter to Boston USA, marked "Via Southampton", bearing ½a. blue pair, 2a. orange (defective) and 8a. carmine on blue glazed paper pair, all cancelled by light "B/147" obliterator, showing framed "india paid" in red, London Paid transit c.d.s. (8?.10), "new york/am packet" d.s. (18.10; additionally tying the 2a.) and circular-framed "10" (additionally tying the ½a. pair). A rare and most attractive three colour franking. Photo
