Bank of England, John Standish Fforde (1966-1970), £20, ND (1970), A01 000010, mauve and multicolour with Elizabeth II at right and St. George slaying dragon at upper centre, reverse with statue of William Shakespeare at right with scene from Romeo & Juliet behind,
(EPM B318), uncirculated, the note contained within a purple Morocco leather presentation folder with the front cover embossed in gold, featuring the 'seated Britannia' vignette. The inside front cover similarly embossed with text: 'BANK OF ENGLAND', 'JULY 1970' and the whole contained within a protective paper envelope which has undoubtedly helped to keep the whole in near-perfect state. Beautiful and rare.
