(x) Bermuda Government, printers archival specimen 2 shillings and 6 pence, 1 March 1939, serial number range A 000001-Z 240000, uniface, mauve on brightly multicoloured underprint, George VI at right, value at centre, left and top left and right, small CANCELLED perforation,
(Pick 7s, TBB B107as, Aspen p.73), ink annotation '20.2.39' in top margin, previously mounted, in PMG holder 63 Choice Uncirculated and extremely rare, with this example superior to previous examples offered by Spink due to less obtrusive perforations. This example also shows us the full print range of this series, all of which were destroyed before it could be issued, due to no longer being required. As a bonus a great 'luck number'.
