Note: As a result of a delayed order for low value stamps, the Chingola Post Office stock of ½d. stamps became exhausted. In order to avoid any delay a two-line handstamp was used on all mail requiring the ½d. unsealed letter rate until fresh supplies of stamps arrived. Recorded dates of use are from 31 December 1946 until 6 January 1947
