1864-65 envelopes (3) from Thomas Baines in Cape Town to his mother in Norfolk, two bearing Triangular 4d. blue (both cut-into) with one marked "Per Eastern Province Steamer" and the other "Per Steamer Far East", both vessels of the Diamond Line, the third bearing Rectangular 1/- green, all three cancelled by BONC "1" and the last signed "T Baines" at lower left. An unusual trio from this famous painter
