Charles I (1625-49), Half-Pound {of 10-Shillings}, 1642, Shrewsbury, 60.45g, m.m. plume (on obv. only), carolvs: d: [g:] mag: brit: fran: et: hi: rex:, armoured King on horseback left, horse plain, trampling arms amongst grassy ground below, rev. Declaration in two lines, value and three Shrewsbury plumes above, 1642 below (Brooker 804, same dies; N.2368; S.2924), traces of smoothing in fields and around rim and other small flan flaws between 8 and 10 o'clock, otherwise well-struck for type, almost very fine
