Early Anglo-Saxon England, post-Crondall series (c. 655-675), pale gold Thrymsa, "PADA" type, 1.29g, cta - iznc, both cs retrograde, clockwise from lower left around helmeted bust right, rev. pada in runes on beaded standard, iam above, tufa flanked by two vs below, v between pellets to left (Abramson 1.10 'Coddenham' style; Pa.1a2; N.151; S.768), good very fine, clearly with high gold content and so presumably an early coin, the rarest of the enigmatic PADA issues, and the third example of this sub-variety known
