Reserve Bank of Rhodesia, a presentation set presented to 'His Excellency the Governor of Rhodesia, the Hon.Sir Humphrey Gibbs K.C.M.G., O.B.E', comprising 10 shillings, serial number H/1 000010, blue and lilac, Elizabeth II at right, Zimbabwe bird low left, arms top centre, reverse blue, tobacco field, £1, serial number G/1 000010, red and lilac, Elizabeth II at right, flowers low left, arms top centre, reverse red, Victoria Falls and £5, serial number F/1 000010, purple and violet, Elizabeth II at right, Sable antelope at left, arms top centre, reverse purple, the Great Zimbabwe ruins. All are dated 10 November 1964 and signed by Noel Hugh Botha Bruce.
(Pick 24a, 25a, 26a, TBB B101a, 102a, 103a), included in the lot is a letter addressed to the Governor and manuscript signed by Bruce and stating the enclosed notes will become legal tender in Rhodesia on the 16th November 1964. A lovely unique and historical; presentation set
