1840 (February 14) LS written from Windsor Castle to Maria Teresa Isabella announcing with great pleasure her marriage to Prince Albert, "an event so important to me and my Kingdom". Signed "Victoria R" on paper folded in the usual manner (with some splitting along the middle fold) to a thin rectangle and sealed in red wax bearing the Queen's crest in particular detail, attaching red silk ribbon to front and back. Fine and particularly poignant being written on St. Valentine's Day. Photo
