1911 studio photograph taken on the occasion of their visit to India to be present at the Delhi Durbar, held from 7 - 16 December 1911.
Signed on the mount "George R.I." and "Mary", dated in the King Emperor's hand "Delhi Decmbr 12th 1911".
On this date he announced the move of the capital from Calcutta to Delhi.
They are photographed wearing their Coronation Robes. The King wearing the Imperial Crown of India, the Queen wearing the Delhi Durbar tiara, set with diamonds and the famous Cambridge emeralds.
