U.S.A.: Atlanta National Bank, Georgia, a group of 32 certificates for $100 shares, 186[76-80], all signed by Alfred Austell as President (4 of them are also issued to him), eagle at top, black, all cut and ink cancelled, most reglued to counterfoil. Alfred Austell (1814-1881), merchant, banker, financier and railroad builder, became one of the largest cotton dealers in the South. Formed this bank in 1865 and served as a director and its President until his death. Mixed condition but many VF (32).
