Brazil: State of Minas Geraes, 6½% 30-Year External Sterling Loan of 1928, bond for £100, #5589, arms at top, red and black, overprint of Plan A of 1943, with coupons from 2003. Brazil rescheduled all of its foreign debt and the repayment date was extended from 1958. In this case bonds were called for redemption in the early 2000's and prescribed after 10 years meaning no funds available for their repayment. Very rare in this form although specimens have been seen. AEF.
