Ltd., West Hartlepool, £10 share, 187[3], #3876, signed by Mountjoy Pearse and Thomas Appleby as directors, black, very ornate company seal showing wagons at dockside. Both Pearse and Appleby were iron shipbuilders in Hartlepool and the increased need for iron railway wagons was a natural extension of their businesses. GVF and scarce [R9].
