Great Britain: Birkbeck Share and Debenture Trust, 4% debenture for £10, 1889, #548, attractive coat of arms at top, black with pink underprint, with coupons. Associated with the Birkbeck Bank which failed dramatically in 1911 following a run on its deposits. The Trust was acquired by Rock Investment Company and the Bank by the London, County & Westminster Bank. VF-EF and rare.
