Great Britain: Royce Limited, 6% Cumulative Preference shares of £1, [1910], #213, red. A company formed by Frederick Henry Royce and a friend Ernest Claremont, who signs this certificate, to build electrical equipment, cranes, dynamos etc. Royce experimented with motor car production in this company in 1903/4 building a hadful of cars, one of which was given to Claremont and one came into possession of C.S.Rolls. In 1906 the now famous partnership of Rolls and Royce was formed and a new company Rolls Royce was formed. This company continued in the electrical business for some years until acquired by Herbert Morris Limited. A little creased and filing hole at top otherwsie F-VF and very rare [R11].
