Great Britain: Aylsham Navigation, a handrwitten transfer of shares dated February 1843, on a large single sheet of vellum. Signed by William Shakespeare as attorney (twice) and Logie Elphinstone as one of the witnesses. The Navigation (River Bure) of the incorporated in 1773 and opened the 9½ mile route in 1779 with 5 locks. The locks were destroyed in the floods of 1912. VF.
