The largest department store in Moscow formed by 2 Scottish merchants in 1857. Company formed in 1907 and a new Gothic Revival building erected in Theatre Square. Nationalised during the revolution and assetts confiscated. The Bolsheviks renamed the store TsUM which is still in existence. VF.
