Compagnie Universelle du Canal Maritime de Suez, 3% Loan, 500 francs, 3rd series, #374,265, 1906, lovely design showing canal at bottom, brown and green, with coupons. An issue of 100,000 bonds, this with coupons from 1940. The canal was nationalised in 1956 causing a world crisis. All Suez paper is rare, all capital having been repaid. GVF and scarce.
