Great Britain: Sheffield & Goole Railway, an interesting installment scrip certificate for £100 share, undated but circa 1830, black printing by G. Ridge, Sheffield, no instamments noted as paid. The railway was projected but not authorised and never built. Together with other Yorkshire Railways comprising South Yorkshire, Doncaster & Goole Railway Company, 1847; Direct Sheffield & Macclesfield Railway, 5 shares, 1845; Isle of Axholme, Ganisborough and Goole Railway Company, [1845] and Great Grimsby & Sheffield Junction Ralway Company, [1846], 2 examples, and 2 call certificates for shares in Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway Company, 1847. Very mixed condition Fair to VF, some cancelled (8).
