1901 (23 Feb.) mourning envelope, complete with letter, from the Postal Branch of the Inland Revenue in London to William Toplis, "Sark R.S.O", bearing ½d. pair and showing, on reverse, Guernsey and Sark datestamps; the letter confirming that "I will send you a supply of the Army ½ green Official in a few days if all goes well". Most unusual with reference to the supply of Army Official ½d. stamps, one on piece used in Alderney, believed unique, recently being sold in a London auction
