Note: Imperial Airways airliner was southbound from London. Taking off at night from Pietersburg the aircraft struck a plantation of trees on the airfield perimeter and was completely wrecked. The crew of two, Capt. Spafford and First Officer Beckman, were seriously injured while the six passengers escaped with minor injuries
