1879 (May) 2c. blue-green, 6c. orange-brown, 12c. carmine and 16c. blue, each in a marginal vertical pair from either the left or right (2c. and 12c.) of a sheet, each handstamped "specimen" (Type D8), the 6c. and 16c. initialled and dated "24.12.78" in red ink in the selvedge at left, each with large part to full original gum. Wonderfully fresh and extremely rare. S.G. 1-4. Photo
