1864 (22 Mar.) envelope from Taraire "via Southampton" to England, bearing 6d. red-brown (a fraction soiled in margins) with clear to large margins and most unusually cancelled by manuscript "Tairaire/22 March/1864", showing Russell (22.3) and Auckland (1.4) datestamps on face, the reverse (less flap) with small part arrival datestamp in June. Fine and rare. Photo

Note: Taraire (present spelling) Post Office opened 1860-65 but did not possess a datestamp
