1d. red, a pale bright shade showing large portion of "s" and two other letters of "sands & mcdougall/melbourne" papermaker's watermark, large to very large margins showing portion of adjoining stamp at right, lightly cancelled "17" at Christchurch; apparent small repair to right-hand frame though of good appearance. Papermakers watermarks on this stamp are rare. S.G. 4, £2,000+. Photo
