1838 (18 Oct.) entire letter to London, marked "p Agne Consignees Letter", showing fine "Crown/exempt ship lre" in red (Type Ex.1 with flat crown) and, on reverse across join, framed "india letter/falmouth" and arrival d.s., both in red; also 1840 (16 Dec.) large part entire from Richmond, USA, to London, marked "Consignees pr Ship Lagonda", rated "3", showing "Crown/exempt ship lre" in black (Type Ex.1 with flat crown) and, on reverse, framed "Gravesend/Ship Letter" (two strikes, one crossed by filing creases).
