1852-55 largely mint collection (108) including (½d.) deep green block of four, (½d.) yellow-green used, (1d.) blue blocks of four (3, one marginal) and singles (11, six used), (1d.) deep blue blocks of ten, nine (from lower left corner) and singles (2), (2d.) greyish slate pair and singles (2), (4d.) brownish red block of four (thin spots), pair (thinned) and singles (3, one used), prepared for use though not issued slate-blue blocks of nine, four and singles (4), and 1855-58 white paper (1d.) deep blue block of six; also 1861-70 no watermark, rough perf 14 to 16, (½d.) blue-green block of four, variety imperforate, clear to very large margins, unused without gum; minor creasing though of fine appearance. A fine lot and a good basis for further expansion an study. Cat. £8,400+
