1895 (6 May) opened-out commercial envelope registered to Tientsin bearing a superb strike of the boxed "registered/no" handstamp in black with manuscript number "2" and, on the reverse, Hankow Local Post c.d.s in ultramarine, Shanghai Local Post (9.5) and a part strike of Customs Tientsin c.d.s. (four figure yeardate) (15.5) in greenish blue and postman's delivery note in ink. A part of the reverse has been trimmed off (including part of the Tientsin c.d.s.). A fine and important cover being very early use of the registration handstamp and rare combination with the Customs Post service. Photo


1895年5月6日以"漢口訂戶制度"寄天津商業掛號破剖封, 封面蓋長方框型帶手寫編號"2"掛號戳, 在封背蓋群青色漢口工部日戳, 5月9日上海工部中轉戳, 旁有僅見藍綠半枚的5月15日天津海關(四位數字年份)到達日戳, 另有郵差手寫記事. 封背曾被剪, 包括部份天津海關日戳; 保存頗佳的使用極早期掛號戳及混蓋海關戳實寄封.
