1893 (20 June) Shanghai 5c. grey stationery envelope (E5) registered to Shanghai and cancelled on arrival by a fine strike of Shanghai Local Post c.d.s. (23.1) in dark blue, a second strike is on the reverse along with Hankow Local Post despatch c.d.s. in slate-blue. Although marked "Registered" and paying the 2c. postage and 3c. registration, there are no other registration markings. Early use of this envelope and quite possibly the only such registered item from Hankow. Photo


1893年6月20日寄上海的上海5仙灰色郵資掛號封(E5), 到達時銷1月23日深藍色上海到達日戳, 在背面另有一相同日戳及旁有漢口工部的6月20日調度日戳, 這封雖然註記為"掛號"及付了2仙郵資及3仙掛號費, 但封上並沒有其他的掛號印記, 是這種郵資封的早期使用例, 並同時可能是唯一從漢口所寄出的同類郵資封中的掛號郵件.
