1896 (5 Nov.) 2ca. card to Chelsea in London cancelled by Chungking oblong datestamp in purple and with Great Britain 1897 Jubilee ½d. well tied by Eastbourne (26.12) c.d.s.. The card subsequently readdressed to Battersea. The message written by Alicia Little. The card with a rather heavy vertical crease which has been partly reinforced on the reverse.

A most unusual and intriguing card which was carried from Chungking to Shanghai by the Local Post service thence carried by favour to England where it was posted in Eastbourne. The ½d. pays the internal post card rate. Unique as such. Photo


1896年11月5日重慶寄英國倫敦銀二分郵資片, 銷紫色長方框型中英文日戳, 加貼1897年英國女皇½ d. 票一枚, 銷12月26日Eastbourne日戳, 收件人地址轉遞往Battersea. 此片亦是寄自利多爾( Archibald J. Little), 片中央有一垂直深刻摺痕; 一張十分不平凡的郵資片, 由重慶經重慶工部往上海, 之後到達英國, 再在Eastbourne轉寄出, 那½ d.是英國國內平郵費; 相信這片也是存世唯一的.
