30c. on 24ca. light rose-red showing variety of three type B, pane II; large part original gum. Brilliant warm colour and a very fine example of this exceptional rarity for this value. This is the only example which has been recorded by us. CSS 82b. Photo

We esimate that only 400 stamps (16 sheets) were issues; of these only 7 appear to have been purchased by collectors and remain in unused condition. There are insufficient examples of either the first or third printing to be able to reconstruct the surcharge sheets. The varieties of three appear on the right hand pane and our records suggest that only three of these sheets used the right hand surcharge pane.


1897年慈禧壽辰紀念三版加蓋大字短距洋銀三角蓋於貳錢肆分票，B型"三"字變體，第二格，帶大部分原膠，色彩鮮明。CSS 82b.
