30c. on 24ca. rose-carmine, right pane [3], apparently unmounted mint. A stunning example of this rarity showing bright, fresh colour and white paper, this stamp is very well centred. A superb example of this, one of the key stamps of the 1897 surcharges. S.G. 77; Chan 73. Photo

This rare stamp is one of the treasures of the Dowager surcharges and no used examples have been recorded. One complete pane was discovered by Adolphus Diercking in the Chungking Post Office. Two blocks of four are known and these are from the same pane.

This stamp shows the typical centring of the examples form this sheet and joins the right side of the stamp illustrated in Chan Shiu Hon's catalogue and to the left of the example in the Ellery Denison collection.


1897年慈禧壽辰紀念初版加蓋大字短距三角蓋於貳錢肆分票，〈紅寶石〉，此票色彩鮮艷紙質潔白，加蓋正中，十分少見，亦為1897年加蓋票中之珍罕品。S.G. 77; 陳目＃73。 此票為慈壽票中的珍罕品，並未發現有使用過之記錄。德鏗 (Adolphus Diercking) 於重慶工作期間發現一組全格票，兩組存世四方連均出自此全格票。 此票為全格票中的典型例子，左邊連接陳兆漢先生於郵票圖鑑所展示的，右接戴意深郵集(Ellery Denison collection)中所示。
