Five Candareens
5ca. yellow-ochre variety imperforate vertically in a horizontal pair cancelled by light strikes of Tientsin seal in blue. Very fine and rare.


It appears that only one pane from setting VIII was released. This pair is from the block of twelve which was in the Finegan collection. From this block, the top strip went to the Bernard Stoloff collection, the strip below went to the Sir Percival David collection. Two other strips were in the Beckeman and Huang Ming Fuang collections and the Warren Kauder collection.
