Belgae, uninscribed coinage (c. 65-40 BC), gold Stater, 5.18g, wreath with three corded lines intersecting, the central line terminating in a crescent shape with voided crescents in recesses, below this a series of parallel lines fanning out with a pair of annulets to one end, rev. disjointed horse left, a series of pellets above and below, eye behind (Cottam 85, this coin; VA 1215-1; S.24; ABC 755), oval flan, wear to high points, very fine
