[Colonial Police Medal for Meritorious Service] London Gazette 12 June 1958.

Abrak s/o James joined the Colonial Police on 10 October 1928. In 1947 he received the Long Service & Good Conduct Medal (Tanganyika Gazette 4 April 1947), adding subsequent Award Bars in 1954 and 1959. Promoted to Sergeant-Major, he was also awarded the Colonial Police Medal for Meritorious Service. He served for over thirty years before the country gained Independence from the United Kingdom in 1961.
