(x) Army L.S. & G.C., G.V.R. (10602 Cpl. T. Wallace. R.A.M.C.), very fine

Thomas Wallace served in France from 23 August 1914 as a Corporal in the Royal Army Medical Corps. Promoted Sergeant, he was discharged at the termination of his term of engagement on 22 November 1916. Under the provisions of the Military Service Act 1916 (Session 2), this was almost certainly due to advancing age and service of 12 years or more, plus a further year required by Section 87 (1) of the Army Act; sold with copied MIC.
