Robert Wallace was appointed Quartermaster, with the honorary rank of Lieutenant on 6 January 1912, whilst serving with the 3rd Battalion, Princess Victoria's (Royal Irish) Fusiliers. He retired as Quartermaster & Captain upon reaching the age limit on 29 August 1923.
