Norman Ellis de Vesian was born on 21 February 1894 at Hendon, Middlesex, the only son of Lieutenant-Colonel Roland Ellis de Vesian. He was commissioned Lieutenant in the 1/9th Battalion, Middlesex Regiment and placed under instruction in Egypt from 15 October 1917, before witnessing service in Mesopotamia from 18 November 1918. De Vesian married Alice Dora Dodd on 27 January 1945 and died on 13 March 1978 at Hove, Sussex; sold with copied MIC.
