British War Medal 1914-20 (Lt. Commr. R. G. Devenish. R.N.), nearly extremely fine

Reginald G. Devenish served with the Royal Navy from 13 January 1915 having witnessed previous service as an officer in the Royal Indian Marine. He spent the majority of the war on defence duties at Scapa Flow aboard the repair ship Imperieuse, formerly the ironclad named H.M.S. Audacious, being demobilised on 20 March 1919.
