Jean Olivier Vaillancourt enlisted into the Royal 22ieme Regiment on 8 March 1951, and was in the contingent which took part in Queen Elizabeth II's Coronation in London in 1953. On 18 June that year, the Regiment left Southampton aboard R.M.S. Samaria, bound for the Korean theatre. Vaillancourt was discharged on 18 April 1955. He died on 10 August 1986; sold with copied service records.
